Hi, I'm Christina. I've recently started writing again after being away from my desk for quite some time. In addition to romance writing, I enjoy cooking, classical music, and history. I have always enjoyed reading historical romance novels, but about a year ago, I became very disturbed by many of the books I read. I belong to one of the "romance book clubs" that sends out books each month, and many of the selections I received were unusually violent and depressing. More than once, I put a book aside -- unfinished. One included as a minor character a slave woman who'd been disfigured as a punishment for her disobedience. Others included graphic scenes of men being tortured during the French and Indian wars. The books were historically accurate, but these weren't things I wanted to read about in romance novels. There were also several books with main characters who suffered from various afflictions. Although the characters gained my sympathy and compassion, the books had a heavy, depressing sense about them. These books weren't my kind of reading.

What to do about it? Simple. Head back to my desk, sit down, and start writing the kind of stories I wanted to read.

My stories tend to be light-hearted, humorous, and sometimes a bit silly. That's how love often is, you know. Falling in love should be fun, and reading a lovestory should be a genuine pleasure.

Welcome to my world of romance. I hope you enjoy my stories.
